Harold S. Dahlstrand
Harold S. Dahlstrand, of The Dahlstrand Group, a highly successful
management consulting firm, has a broad and extensive blend of strategic
business and leadership experiences and brings a unique perspective to
improving corporate results through human capital.
In addition to his consulting expertise and experience, Harold served
as Vice Chairman of the Board and Chairperson to the Office of the
President of Spiegel, Inc., providing overall corporate leadership in
developing an “employer of choice” culture for this rapidly changing $3
billion organization which included the operating divisions of Spiegel
Catalog, New Port News, Eddie Bauer, Distribution Fulfillment Services and
First Consumers National Bank. Additionally, he served as the company’s
Chief Human Resources Officer.
With particular expertise in working with Senior Management assessing
corporate cultures and evaluating and revising human resource programs,
processes and procedures, Mr. Dahlstrand is able to save corporate dollars
while creating additional benefits for employees. His experience managing
human resource activities serving over 15,000 employees, provides his
corporate clients with a valuable perspective on corporate visions and
strategy, leadership, labor relations, employee relations, retention
issues and achieving competitive advantage through people.
Because of his practical outlook, he effectively assists corporations
in measuring the bottom line affect of proposals and suggested business
strategies. His success is based on a style focused on coaching,
developing and motivating individuals and organizations for improved
performance and facilitating ownership for results. Harold has the unique
ability to focus the enthusiasm of company human resources in the
direction of realizing tangible corporate goals and objectives.
Harold has a Master’s Degree from Loyola University in Chicago and a BA
in Business Administration from Luther College in Iowa. He serves on
several boards of community and not-for-profit organizations including:
Board of Governors, Elmhurst Memorial Hospital; College of DuPage
Foundation Board; Board of Directors, No Dope Express Foundation and Board
of Managers, Chicago Boys and Girls Club. He is also an adjunct professor
of Management at Lewis University and Elmhurst College. He is also a Viet
Nam veteran. |
