Robert E. Meeks

Mr. Meeks has extensive sales, marketing, merchandising,
consulting and general management experience with consumer product
companies in the chemical, automotive, service, retail grocery,
non-food and mass merchandising industries.
After graduating from Indiana University in Bloomington, Mr.
Meeks spent 9 years with American Can Company. After completing the
Young Executive Training Program, he was promoted to various account
and sales management positions.
As Senior Merchandising Manager, Mr. Meeks was responsible for
developing, testing, and implementing the company’s first shelf
management system. His program and research results were published
by American Can and Progressive Grocer magazine. Mr. Meeks also held
several marketing positions including Product Manager and Senior
Product Manager, and was responsible for three new product
introductions and $40,000,000 in sales.
Prior to founding Oak Consulting, Mr. Meeks was a Partner at
another consulting firm and was employed for 15 years with ECP
Incorporated, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daubert Industries. While
employed at Daubert, he was appointed National Sales Manager, Vice
President of Sales, Vice President of Marketing, and served as
President of ECP for 5 years. Under his leadership, ECP became the
largest after-sale chemical company in the United States.
Mr. Meeks co-founded and served as Chairman of the Board of the
National Chemical Protectant Association, was a board member of AT
Home Health, Inc., Cal-Tex Incorporated, and is a member of the
American Management Association. |
